This was such a sweet First 48 Hospital Session! Just look at that precious little smile above! She was so happy to be in her dad&#8217;s arms.
There&#8217;s just something so indescribably incredible about newborn babies during the first 48 hours. The newness of life is truly amazing. When you&#8217;re in the hospital with a new baby, it almost feels like time and the whole world has paused. There&#8217;s a very unique peacefulness in those first few days when babies are brand new and still mostly asleep and so, so cuddly.
Soon they&#8217;ll be home and settling into a routine, and before you know it, your new baby is growing and changing so fast! Of course, that&#8217;s a good thing, but the changes happen so quickly and while you&#8217;re in a major haze. That&#8217;s why capturing what your little one is like during those first couple of days is such a gift. And having photos of YOU snuggling that tiny little one is something you&#8217;ll treasure forever!
When this mom initially contacted me for this First 48 session, it was a few weeks from her due date. We had a few emails back and forth chatting about details and the dates she might arrive. While it was still about 2 weeks before her due date, suddenly I got an email that baby girl was already here! Luckily she was healthy and all ready to enter the world. I&#8217;m so glad it all worked out and I was able to document this precious girl and her thrilled parents.
