Let me tell you why I love being a Day in the Life photographer.
When our kids are little, the days can feel very long. The day-to-day can feel a bit monotonous sometimes. Sometimes, extremely monotonous. My kids are older now, but I remember those days (although, at the same time, they&#8217;re a total blur). Feeding, changing, playing, rocking, holding&#8230;a quick sleep, and then you do it all again.
But the truth is, those little everyday moments that may not stand out at the time are the ones that you&#8217;ll treasure the most, years down the road. All of the things your little one does &#8220;all the time&#8221; &#8211; one day it&#8217;ll be the last time. You won&#8217;t know it&#8217;s the last time though &#8211; until one day you suddenly realize, hey, they don&#8217;t do that anymore!
Those little moments are so precious. What we do every day with our kids is what means the most to them. A Day in the Life session will freeze those moments in time so you&#8217;ll always be able to look back and remember.
That&#8217;s why these sessions matter so much to me.
I spent a wonderful morning with this adorable 5 month old, her parents, and their sweet doggie, capturing their typical daily weekend routine. They did tummy time, read books, ate, played, cuddled, had a couple of outfit/diaper changes, went on a long walk, and enjoyed their time as a family together. Every day is special, every day is a gift, and the little moments really are the big moments.
