Birthday party photography is so much fun! If there&#8217;s one thing that makes me realize just how fast the time flies, it&#8217;s birthday parties! It&#8217;s so crazy that someone I remember photographing as a baby is already ten years old. (Check out this photo from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/StacieTatumPhotography/photos/pb.100051284677714.-2207520000../10151283415465863/?type=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">my first photoshoot with him and his brother</a>.) It makes me feel old but it&#8217;s also such a cool journey to watch kids grow up and develop their personalities and interests. Since Canon loves animals, his birthday party really highlighted them!
Turning 10 is a big milestone, and this was an epic celebration! I absolutely loved the theme of this birthday party. Personally, I find crocodiles to be pretty terrifying in real life. But when they&#8217;re smiling or made out of fruit they&#8217;re pretty darn cute. All of the animal details were so fun. However, not only were there pretend animals, but real ones as well! The <a href="https://www.thecreatureteacher.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Creature Teacher</a> presentation was amazing! The kids got to see &amp; touch a sugar glider, some cool reptiles, a kinkajou, a baby fox, a big tortoise, and a baby kangaroo!
Canon was in love with all of the animals and seeing his excitement was so fun. I mean how often do you get a chance to bottle-feed a baby kangaroo? I definitely know what I want to do on my next birthday.
There was also swimming, lots of backyard fun, and some pretty fantastic cupcakes &amp; cake. (You can also see more of<a href="https://www.instagram.com/sweetlittlethingsdallas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Jessica&#8217;s awesome cakes</a> on Instagram if you love fun cakes!) The kids all had an absolute blast!
