From baby showers to birthday parties, from graduations to engagement parties, life is full of exciting celebrations and milestones. And whether it’s a small, casual gathering or a big fancy party, I believe every celebration deserves to be documented!
My approach for these special occasions is a photojournalistic style to tell the story of your event and capture candid moments, while also capturing any group or formal photos you’d like (because those photos are important too)! And of course, I’ll be sure to photograph all of the details - big and small - that you spent time getting just right for your special occasion. Basically, I want to capture it all so you’ll be able to enjoy your event and not have to worry about missing anything!
Why do I feel so strongly about hiring a photographer to document your special event?
When my twins turned 3, a photographer captured the party for me. And of all of the birthday parties I’ve thrown for my 3 kids over the last 10 years, guess which party I remember the most? Yep, the one where I had a photographer take pictures for me! Because looking at those photos sparks memories and helps me remember all of the details and events and special moments. And no matter how hard I try to grab some pictures at my kids’ parties myself, I ultimately have to decide whether I want to be the photographer - or be present and enjoy the party.
