Dallas Day in the Life Session
Many lifetimes ago &#8211; or maybe it was really just 5 months ago &#8211; I spent a normal, typical Saturday morning with my sister&#8217;s family. It was one of those days where there were no plans. Nothing especially exciting happened. In fact, it was a day that would really be mostly forgettable in the grand scheme of life. One of those days that was a welcome break from the usual craziness of life-with-littles when you&#8217;re typically on the go most days. Except that within 2 weeks, the entire world changed. There were suddenly no outings. All of a sudden, every day was a Stay at Home Day.
Sometimes the things we take for granted turn out to be the most important things. Sometimes the &#8220;unforgettable&#8221; days are the ones we yearn for when time ends up passing too quickly.
Of course, we were all aching for those outings and playdates and breaks from monotony. But we also knew how lucky we were to have this time with our families. Time to slow down and just be.
But the thing about the days that feel monotonous and less-than-super-special? It&#8217;s that these are really the days that pass too quickly. These are the days that are precious. The days that we wish we held onto more at the time. And the best way to remember these days is to document them. Having your typical day-to-day life captured is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. It&#8217;s something you&#8217;ll never regret doing.
Because the time that passes from<a href="https://stacietatum.com/blog/paul-brand-new/"> holding them in the hospital</a>, to being <a href="https://www.facebook.com/StacieTatumPhotography/photos/pb.100051284677714.-2207520000/10154744110940863/?type=3">old enough to walk and talk</a>, to growing up enough to hold a younger sibling, goes by so much faster than you could ever imagine.
